- Description
- What will you be doing?
There’s a 5,000 strong team here at Anglian Water, delivering water to over 6.2 million customers, from Grimsby in the North to Milton Keynes in the south. Our people work with a real passion to world-class standards, in highly-varied and often very complex operations - so we’re committed to making sure that everyone in the team enjoys the safest working environment with a focus on the wellbeing of our employees. We work on a wide range of occupational issues such as absence management, musculoskeletal conditions as well as creating a culture of safety across the whole business.
This is a great opportunity for you to work as an Occupational Health Advisor on a permanent contract for the UK’s largest water company. Working with your small, flexible team you’ll have the freedom to manage your own workload and promote best practice across all parts of our business - playing a key role in developing and launching new health promotion initiatives, running employee road shows, undertaking workplace assessments, providing proactive and supportive advice around sickness absence, identifying areas of concern; all-in-all helping develop a culture of wellbeing in an award-winning, innovative environment.
What do you need?
As a qualified Registered General Nurse, you’ll either have direct experience of this role - or the passion and blend of communication/presentation/customer service skills to make the move. Above all, you’ll be looking to influence a forward-looking organisation (just view our recent Mental Health campaign at to see where we’re heading). You will work right across our region, so mobility and a current driving licence will be important.
What benefits do we offer?
Our people are important to us and we want to make sure that we reward and recognise all of the great work that they do. Some of our benefits include:- Bonus scheme
- Private health care
- Competitive pension scheme
- 26 days annual leave rising with length of service
- Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing
- Flexible working (dependent on your role)
We are passionate and committed to the learning and development of our people making sure they have the right skills and knowledge to be successful and to help achieve their potential. We also take Health and Safety very seriously in everything that we do.
If you are offered a job with us, you’ll be subject to the relevant/standard employment checks, including: your right to work in the UK, reference, driving licence and identity check. Depending on your role, you may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
Due to the nature of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work from home on occasion and there will be some travel involved around the region we serve.
Closing date: Friday 23 August
