Description

Title: Occupational Health Nurse/Technician 

Location: Foynes Harbour, V94 XNP0, Ireland

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse/Practitioner to conduct fit-for-work medical assessments for approximately 16 individuals at our site in Foynes Harbour. The assessments will include lung function tests, skin evaluations, audio assessments, musculoskeletal examinations, Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) screenings, as well as blood tests. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct these assessments efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fit-for-work medical assessments for employees, including lung function, skin, audio, musculoskeletal, HAVS, and blood tests.
  • Conduct assessments in a timely manner, with approximately one assessment per hour.
  • Maintain accurate records of medical assessments and results.
  • Collaborate with the occupational health team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide appropriate recommendations and referrals based on assessment findings.
  • Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in handling medical information.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse or Occupational Health Practitioner with relevant qualifications.
  • Previous experience in conducting occupational health assessments, particularly in lung function, audio, musculoskeletal, and HAVS screenings.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across two days to complete assessments for the site.
